Thematically speaking, my artwork is dark; there is no skirting the truth here. I love skulls, from like a scientific perspective, and that makes them all the more fun for me to draw. This was one of my first forays into incorporating color into my work, and I got the water color effect by doubling down on a technique I’d been honing for years, watering down the acrylic paint I found in the back of my moms craft room. Not exactly traditional water color, but I love the way this piece turned out! Its always spooky season in my home and I proudly have this pop of color, displayed in my kitchen.
