Na(t)ive

2020

My COVID shutdown experience had me looking inward, I’m disappointed more art didn’t come out of the year, but that’s not to diminish the simple charm of this Pinterest reproduction I made for my bathroom. To me she speaks to the serene innocence of a new day, that this shower has always been her point of origin, but alas she’s likely na├»ve to the impending chaos of external reality. Did I mention quarantine had me looking inward. I think Connor was napping between sales calls when she was sprawled on canvas, but every day was pretty much the same. Her and Bare were birthed on the same, seltzer fueled afternoon.
